Nivalis Nights greenhouses and ingredient supplies
Grow produce in adjustable greenhouses, choose what to do with your harvest, and connect farming with restaurant inventory.
Greenhouses turn farming into another source of restaurant ingredients. You can use the harvest in your own kitchens or sell it at the market, while adjusting the growing conditions to suit your crops.

Set up a greenhouse
The March 2025 development blog describes rentable greenhouses in several areas of the city. Their interiors can be equipped with specialized machines from vendors. With the necessary seeds and equipment, you can grow vegetables, grains and mushrooms; the system also includes printed meat and irrigation automation.
You can manage more than one greenhouse when you can afford it. Further seeds and advanced modules become available as you develop the relevant skills.
Before renting another greenhouse, choose what it will produce and where the harvest will go. For restaurant supplies, compare your active recipes with the crops you can grow. For market sales, check the goods’ current prices. Reserve money for the seeds and machinery as well as the rental: an empty greenhouse does not replace a kitchen’s ingredient purchases.
Keep your first setup focused on a crop you can use. Adding more seeds or machines is easier to judge once you know which supplies your restaurants repeatedly need.
Adjust the growing conditions
The farming console lets you change temperature, humidity and light. These conditions affect crop growth speed. Check the crop’s requirements before changing the console, rather than assuming one setting suits every plant.
Record the current console settings before experimenting, then change one parameter at a time and observe the crop. This is a suggested way to compare settings, not a fixed growing recipe. There is no confirmed universal temperature or harvest timer in the March 2025 blog.
Put the harvest where it is needed
Your personal inventory, kitchen inventories, greenhouses and homes are separate storage contexts. Before spending more on purchased ingredients, check which crops are ready and whether they can supply your active recipes.
Use this decision before disposing of a harvest:
- Keep it for the kitchen when it replaces an ingredient you currently need for the menu.
- Consider a market sale when you have no immediate recipe use for it, after checking the current sale price.
- Recheck the destination inventory when you own several venues; crops held in one place do not prove another kitchen is stocked.
Managers can help collect greenhouse goods and restock venues. The October 1 patch improved their ingredient-buying behaviour, so install the current update before investigating an older supply problem.
If a greenhouse is growing slowly, check its seeds, machinery and console conditions before renting more space. If the restaurant is still short of ingredients, start with the dish’s recipe and kitchen inventory rather than changing the growing conditions for every crop.
